‘Searching for tax motives’
‘To be able to advise clients properly, I always search for the question behind the question. The more you know about their motives – preferably at the earliest stage possible – the better able you are to assist them in realising their plans and ideas. I find the direct contact with clients one of the most fascinating aspects of my job. At Van Oers you are the companies’ direct discussion partner. This is also the case when it comes to my colleagues from other departments because what could possibly be better than working with colleagues from various disciplines to bring a challenge to a good end?
I have been a partner at Van Oers since 2012. I appreciate the freedom I have within the organisation, which among other things allows me to share my tax knowledge with a wider group by publishing articles. For example, in my regular work for Kluwer I write 10 articles per year for the publication Belasting Advies in de praktijk. In these articles I explain judgments in an easily understandable manner. In the rest of my spare time I enjoy playing tennis and going to musicals and theatre productions with my partner.’
